Bringing next-generation sustainability innovations to Avport’s airports

At Routes Americas we caught up with Jorge Roberts, CEO of Avports. We discussed the recovery of Avport’s airports in the post-pandemic air travel market, the rebuilding of the workforce, the innovations that they are working on including lower-energy solutions and next-generation of sustainability such as hydrogen-powered vehicles and microgrids, sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), plus their sustainability programmes, diversification of revenues, the expansion of the runway and terminal of Tweed New Haven Airport in order to better serve passengers in that region of Connecticut so that they do not have to drive to New York which can take two to three hours.
