Gavin Jackson
Programme Manager, Gatwick Airport
Gavin joined Gatwick Airport in 2005 following a career in logistics. His background in senior operational roles at the airport has seen him deliver significant organisational and process change programmes including the construction of the new Security search area in the South Terminal. This project involved the introduction of new technology such as biometrics and automated access control, as well as process improvements and changes to working practises. He then moved to a change management role in 2011, leading a team to deliver check-in transformation at Gatwick, including the implementation of self-service bag drop. Since 2017 he has led the Terminals and Security Programme as part of Gatwick’s £1.1 billion Capital Investment Programme. He continues to lead projects which help the airport drive innovation and technological solutions to passenger processing including biometrics, check-in automation, auto-boarding technology and the implementation of new security regulations. In May 2019, Gatwick transferred to new management with VINCI Airports now owning the majority shareholding of 50.01% and the remainder owned by a consortium of investors and managed by Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP).
