Indiana’s newly-constructed fixed-base operator (FBO), Fort Wayne Aero Center, opened for business on 1st January 2016 providing a number of new services and amenities.
Owned and operated by Fort Wayne-Allen County Airport Authority, the recently built 12,000 square foot facility will provide aircraft fuelling, de-icing, ramp parking and tie-down, and a range of other services. Within the terminal the centre will provide pilots with a lounge and private rest area, WiFi, two conference rooms with audio/visual capabilities, a fitness centre, and complimentary provisions. The facility will also offer services and products from Avfuel.

“We’ve been waiting a long time for this day,” said Jeff Van Slyke, FBO general manager for Fort Wayne Aero Center. “The building finished right on schedule and our experienced staff is ready to provide exceptional customer service to the guests of Fort Wayne Aero Center. We’re delighted to serve the aviation community we love in such a pristine facility.”
12,000 square foot Fort Wayne Aero Center to provide critical aviation services
Fort Wayne Aero Center began taking reservations on 26 December 2015, and received its first round of guests on New Year’s Day. The centre will provide Jet A and 100LL fueling, maintenance, de-icing, quick turns, concierge, heated hangar space, and charter, cargo, ground handling and forklift services.
