Airlines, airports and ground handlers face many challenges when it comes to profitable operations and attracting the right talent to their organisation. All too often when we speak to airside businesses, we hear that many of the factors affecting their operations are ”out of our control”.
However, our experts at RTITB Airside have found that there is one simple tool that can be used to help ground handling operations like yours to overcome these issues – training.
The training delivered needs to be engaging, specific, relevant and of high quality. What’s more, it needs to have a positive impact on the parts of your operation that you can control and influence, such as assets – both people and equipment, efficiency of processes and systems, and accidents or incidents involving vehicles or ground support equipment (GSE).
For instance, with the right approach to training, we can influence accident and incident rates in a positive way in order to reduce damage and the associated costs of ground handling and vehicle mishaps.
