Moving beyond traditional reactive maintenance approaches, the panel will delve into how advanced technologies can optimise operations, reduce costs, and improve the availability of critical equipment.

At the end of the discussion, Danlex will share a case study on how PM4X LPR can be deployed, including specific use cases for airports.

This session is designed to be informative, offering practical insights for airport professionals seeking to enhance the performance and reliability of their security systems. The panel will demonstrate how AI-driven maintenance can streamline processes and improve overall performance. You will also have an opportunity to pose your questions to the panel during the live Q&A.

Funded by the EU through the NextGeneration EU: Project BG-RRP-2.006-0015-C01

Key topics to be addressed include:

  • The limitations of traditional maintenance strategies: The panel will examine the drawbacks of preventive maintenance performed at predetermined intervals and costly corrective maintenance, highlighting their impact on downtime and lifecycle costs.
  • How predictive maintenance works: Discover how sensor data, machine learning, and AI algorithms process real-time technical data to provide valuable insights into the health of critical components such as X-ray generators, generator controls, and detector lines.
  • Proactive prevention of system failure: Learn how to use sensor data to proactively prevent system failures and avoid unnecessary maintenance work. The discussion will show how this advanced approach shifts maintenance from a reactive to a proactive, condition-based strategy.
  • Maximising equipment availability and optimising costs: Explore how predictive maintenance can replace reactive strategies to maximise equipment availability and optimise maintenance costs.
  • Cybersecurity and data protection: The panel will discuss the importance of a defence-in-depth approach to cybersecurity and data protection when deploying predictive maintenance solutions, ensuring compliance with EU data protection and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Deployment of predictive maintenance: Understand the requirements for deploying predictive maintenance solutions.
  • The shift to outcome-based contracts: The panel will discuss how predictive maintenance is enabling a shift from traditional service level agreements (SLAs) to outcome-based contracts.
