Sarah Ziomek is the Enterprise Sustainability Programs Manager at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW Airport) and is responsible for developing DFW’s sustainability strategy for carbon, energy, resilience, waste, biodiversity, and water management. Sarah also leads the Airport’s solid waste and recycling, environmental grants, and air quality programs. She supports the Airport’s strategic partnership with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) as the DFW lead on projects related to energy optimization and renewables integration for buildings and fleets.
Sarah received her B.S. and M.S. in Environmental Science from Texas Christian University. She is a Certified Ecologist and has served in the capacity of environmental scientist and wetland specialist. Her previous experience includes environmental consulting for multiple industries as well as work for the Botanical Research Institute of Texas and the National Park Service. In her free time, Sarah enjoys spending time outdoors playing tennis, cycling, and backpacking.
Davide Bassano joined Gruppo Save, which operates Venice, Treviso, Verona and Brescia Airports, in 2003. Since 2021 he has been Director of Sustainability.
Davide holds a PhD Degree in Mining Engineering with specialisation in Offshore Drilling, as well as a Postgraduate master’s degree in industrial logistics and management systems.
He worked in companies in the industrial sector and then moved on to consulting and certification in international companies, first in Norway and then in Germany.
Sven is Director Sustainability, Innovation & Partnerships at Dubai Airports. He has over 25 years leadership experience in the aviation industry, having held several positions in different parts of the aviation ecosystem, such as airlines (Lufthansa, Saudia, Etihad), alliance management companies (Star Alliance) and at airports. Born in Belgium, through his multinational career, he has lived in several countries in Europe, Middle East and Asia. He is the holder of an Executive MBA degree of INSEAD, a Master in Aviation of the National Aviation School/Toulouse Business School, and a Master in Economics of LUC Hasselt.
