Speaking at Passenger Terminal Expo in Paris, we grabbed a few minutes with the Zurich Airport Head of Sustainability to answer one vital question.
We asked Emanuel Fleuti, Head of Sustainability & Environment at Zurich Airport, what he thinks the number one trend to watch in air travel is for the year.
Emanuel said the trend to watch this year is VFR travel – visiting friends and relatives. He said that they are expecting a decline in short-haul business trips and they expect to see high uptake in those quick travels to see friends and relatives abroad.
