daa, the operator of Dublin and Cork airports, has reported that passengers numbers recovered strongly in the first six months of 2023.
The authority has announced proposals for new sustainability measures to incentivise airlines to operate at lower CO₂ emission aircraft at Dublin Airport.
With gate sharing between airlines on the increase, airports are turning to intelligent automation systems to help them assign gates for the smoothest journey – and most efficient throughput.
Profits at daa Group increased by six per cent to a record €133 million in 2018 as the company benefited from higher passenger numbers and increased commercial income.
Dublin Airport is taking part in a trial that uses biometrics to help passengers seamlessly travel between Ireland and Bristol Airport.
With 2.6 million passengers expected in 2019, a new Hub has opened at Cork Airport to accommodate the continued growth of the airport and ensure operations continue to run smoothly.
DUB and the IAA will now incorporate A-CDM into the management of daily flight operations at the airport to help to reduce delays.
The hotel will be operated by the winning bidder for 100 years before being transferred back to the authority.
