Frankfurt Airport (FRA) has completed the marketing of dining spaces in Terminal 3, awarding them to Avolta and Lagardère Travel Retail. Avolta will manage twelve spaces in the Non-Schengen Central Marketplace, Schengen Pier, and Departures Hall, while Lagardère will operate ten spaces in various terminal areas, plus six additional travel-related locations.

Anke Giesen, Executive Director for Retail and Real Estate at Fraport AG, stated: “We are very pleased to welcome Avolta and Lagardère Travel Retail as our partners in the new dining areas of Terminal 3. Both companies display an impressive innovative spirit and strict quality standards and will greatly enrich the food and beverage options at Frankfurt Airport.”

The two partners were chosen based on passenger needs and dining quality. Terminal 3’s 2,900 square-metre dining space will offer a diverse range of options, from German bakeries and snack shops to a high-end bar with tapas and sushi, along with chic Italian restaurants. The central bar and two food courts are key highlights, located in the terminal’s unique marketplace.

The dining spaces in Terminal 3 are fully awarded, with the retail and service areas in their final phase. Sixty-five retail spaces, spanning 12,000 square metres, include shops, restaurants, services, and expansive duty-free stores in the non-Schengen area.

“We are expecting many international guests in Terminal 3 and have designed the new terminal to meet their needs and provide them an incredible experience. Our retail areas are exceptional in their diversity and quality and have been created to make the guest experience in our new terminal one to remember,” adds Giesen.

Terminal 3 embodies FRA’s values of service, quality, innovation, partnership and commitment. The terminal’s new marketplace offers a great selection of product categories and brands to meet the various needs of passengers. Fraport has selected attractive, top-performing partners and concepts for the new Terminal 3, scheduled to become operational for the 2026 summer flight schedule. After completion of the first construction phase, Frankfurt Airport’s new Terminal 3 will be able to accommodate up to 19 million passengers.
