Chicago’s Midway International Airport has announced the opening of its TSA PreCheck enrolment centre, designed to streamline the passenger pre-screen registration process.
Midway’s Transportation Security Administration (TSA) PreCheck enrolment centre has opened ahead of the busy summer season. The centre provides an easy and convenient way for travellers to enrol in the TSA PreCheck programme.
TSA PreCheck is an accelerated security screening programme
TSA PreCheck is an accelerated security screening programme for passengers. With TSA PreCheck, travellers have access to a dedicated lane and can experience a more efficient airport screening process by not having to remove their shoes, light jackets and belts, and by leaving laptops and compliant liquids in carry-on bags.
An important step in the enrolment process requires travellers to visit a TSA application centre in person. The enrolment centre now open at Midway provides a convenient location for travellers flying through the airport or Chicago area residents.
More than 150 airports, including Chicago Midway and O’Hare International Airports, have dedicated TSA PreCheck lanes and 12 airlines participate in the programme including Southwest Airlines, American Airlines, United Airlines, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue Airways, Virgin America, Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, WestJet and Etihad Airways.
Further information regarding the TSA PreCheck programme can be found here.
