Following their 10th anniversary of using Ultra’s baggage reconciliation and management system, Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) have chosen to renew the partnership for a further 5 years.
Annual passenger numbers have increased by 40% over the last 10 years at Bahrain International Airport, and BAS have confidently relied on Ultra to ensure consistent delivery of outstanding service levels to their airline customers and passengers. With growth expected to continue, BAS have again chosen to depend on Ultra to efficiently manage their baggage operations.
Mr Tony Smith, BAS Chief Operations Officer, said:
“Using Ultra’s baggage management capability allows us to focus all of our attention on delivering the highest levels of service possible to our airline customers. Ultra’s solution does everything we could ever want it to do and more besides, and the quality of service support from Ultra is excellent – they give us the peace of mind that lets us excel at delivering consistent, high quality, safe and on-time services to all our customer airlines to help them achieve superior customer experience.”
Used at around 60 airports worldwide, approximately one quarter of global annual passenger baggage is securely reconciled and segregated with UltraTRAK.
Over the last 10 years, Ultra has spent over £1.5 million continuously developing and enhancing their baggage management solution, ensuring that it remains as the indispensable aide for baggage handlers who aim to achieve excellence with on-time performance for their airlines.
Mr Abdullah Abokhamseen, BAS CEO commented
“BAS is proud to have played a significant role in our national flag carrier Gulf Air evolving to become globally recognised as the No 1 ranked airline in the region, and in the top 5 globally for on time performance here at Bahrain International Airport. The use of Ultra’s baggage management solution for the past 10 years has been instrumental to that success as it has continually improved with new functionality all delivering excellent operational benefits to our user community, allowing us in turn to provide an ever improving service and we look forward to achieving even better customer satisfaction results with the latest innovations from Ultra.”
