TAP Air Portugal will allow passengers to vote for their favourite film out of a selection of ten from its aircraft’s entertainment systems, with the deadline 31 October 2024.

The Portuguese airline, TAP Air Portugal, has announced the final phase of its Altitude Film Fest, its first on-board film festival. Passengers can cast votes on their favourite short film from the aircraft’s entertainment systems, with 31 October 2024 being the deadline.
The films that passengers can select from were chosen by a panel of judges in July 2024, with five documentaries and five fiction films shortlisted for the final.

What prizes will there be?
Films awarded with the Best Fiction Film and Best Documentary Grand Prizes will be rewarded with a travel grant worth 3000 Euros each. This award not only recognises the artistic and narrative excellence of the award-winning films, but also offers filmmakers the opportunity to explore new horizons and be inspired by new experiences around the world.
In addition, the remaining finalists in each category will be awarded a participation prize in recognition of their talent and dedication to the art of filmmaking. This symbolic award celebrates the contribution of all the participants to the success of the festival and to the diversity and quality of the cinema presented.
The result will be revealed at a special event to be held on World Cinema Day, on November 5, 2024, in Lisbon.
The exact location of the event will be announced in due course.
This event will be an opportunity to celebrate the diversity and creativity of cinema.
