Speaking on ‘Data-driven decision making: Defining the future of airport operational excellence’ – Day 2.

The airport recently launched its YVR AI Brigade, a program designed to upskill its workforce and create commercially viable AI products and services. Hear first hand how the airport’s award-winning Digital Twin solution, powered by the YVR STREAM engine, integrates data from hundreds of sources to enhance real time situational awareness and decision-making. These investments are all made in support of the airport’s FLOW management vision, a transformative project that uses AI to drive operational efficiencies, customer satisfaction, and sustainability objectives, enabling YVR to handle increased passenger and cargo volumes without having to proportionally expand its physical infrastructure.

Speaking on ‘KEYNOTE CEO forum: What’s keeping them awake at night?’ – Day 1.

Tirana Airport in Albania has experienced unprecedented growth of over 260% since 2019, making it the fastest growing airport in Europe. In 2023 they had 100% more passengers than in 2022. 5.2 million passengers passed through the airport in 2023, and this year, they expect to end the year on 10 million passengers. The airport is experiencing a challenge on how to accommodate this inundation of travellers as the airport was not built to handle this growth. As Chief Human Resources Officer and Chief Technology Officer, Luis is perfectly positioned to talk about the airport’s philosophy on recruiting the next generation of airport workers who will have to have different skills to the workforce now – especially with regards to technology.
