Munich Airport’s innovation hub, LabCampus, strengthens its position as an innovation campus for issues of the future such as AI, new mobility, and tech expertise. LabCampus welcomes Exotec, a global company that offers scalable robotic systems for the logistics sector.
Exotec is already the fourth company to secure office space on the campus. The scaleup is set to establish its new headquarters for the entire DACH region in LAB 48 and further expand its position as a technology leader in the robotics industry.
In Exotec, LabCampus has gained another cutting-edge tenant for the innovation hub. As a pioneer in scalable robotic systems, Exotec not only brings a great deal of software and technology expertise to the table but also a network-oriented entrepreneurial spirit. This fits in perfectly with the vision of LabCampus as a hub that supports the concept of new work, exchange, and collaboration.
The rental space of around 2,600 m2 comprising showroom and office units is ideally suited for Exotec to present new products for the robotization of logistics. The flexible rental options for additional space are an important advantage of the location in LAB 48 for dynamic growth companies.
Exotec – a leader in robotic systems in the logistics sector
The French company Exotec is recognised worldwide for its outstanding research, development, and production of scalable robotic systems for the logistics sector. Exotec systems are currently in use in over 100 installations in Asia, Europe, and North America. Founded as a scaleup in Lille, France, in 2015, the company previously had its German headquarters in Landshut. In the future, up to 200 employees are set to work on Exotec’s vision for the future at the new headquarters. The move is scheduled to take place in the winter of 2024.

Together, we not only want to work on our robotic systems here, but also to create creative and innovative synergies,” says Markus Schlotter, Exotec’s Managing Director for Central Europe.
Innovation hub – a place for collaboration, networking, and research
As an innovation hub, LabCampus connects international corporations, hidden champions, and scaleups with research institutions and young talents to promote knowledge and technology transfer in Bavaria. Following Deutsche Flugsicherung and the AirportAcademy, amplimind – a joint venture between AUDI and Lufthansa Industry Solutions – will move into its space at the LabCampus in March 2024. In addition, another important player from the technology sector is already in the starting blocks: the Technical University of Munich (TUM) is planning to set up a research site for students in LAB 48 and LAB 52.
