A record 1.2 million passengers passed through Warsaw Chopin Airport during August 2015, 5.5 percent up on the same month last year.
The recent figures suggest the largest growth in the airports history with passenger numbers increasing 5.6 compared to last year. The upward trend continues from figures recorded in July when Warsaw Chopin Airport handled 2.4 million passengers.
Another record-breaking month in the history of Warsaw Chopin Airport
Thus far, from the beginning of 2015, Warsaw Chopin Airport handled more than 7.5 million passengers prompting an increase of 6.8 percent in comparison to the same period in 2014. International traffic rose 8.1 percent year-on-year to over 6.8 million however, domestic traffic was down 3.3 percent compared to the same period in 2014. In the first eight months of 2015 passenger flight operations increased year-on-year by 4.5 percent to 84,500.
