After a successful recruitment effort last year at Stockholm Arlanda, Swedavia is continuing to invest heavily in recruitment – this year with two open recruitment days at both Stockholm Arlanda and Landvetter, Sweden’s two largest airports.
The recruitment days are being held in collaboration with a large number of companies at the airports. During the recruitment days, potential candidates will have the opportunity to meet representatives from a variety of companies and find out more about the different professions and the hundreds of vacancies at Swedavia’s airports. A total of more than 500 vacancies are anticipated over the next few years.
“Of course, it’s great to have the opportunity to gather together many of our fantastic employers and potential new employees at Sweden’s two largest airports during our open recruitment days, which we are investing in even more heavily this year. Last year’s recruitment day at Stockholm Arlanda was a tremendous success that led to the recruitment of a large number of new employees, both for us and our partners at the airports. Our airports are two of Sweden’s largest workplaces, with thousands of employees and passengers every day, where our shared vision is to enable people to meet, while ensuring long-term connectivity in Sweden,” says Marie Wiksborg, Director of Business Support at Swedavia.
Over the next few years, it is anticipated that hundreds of new employees will need to be recruited in the industry in several categories of professions, ranging from operational airport employees to airport officers, IT engineers, service staff and security control officers, in order to ensure connectivity at Sweden’s airports. This includes both permanent positions and summer jobs.
Last year, thousands of people attended Stockholm Arlanda’s recruitment day, and Swedavia plans to welcome an even larger number of participants at Stockholm Arlanda and Landvetter this year during two recruitment days. Recruitment Day at Arlanda will be held on 12 January and Recruitment Day at Göteborg Landvetter will be held on 17 January.
Stockholm Arlanda has 600 employers and about 17,500 employees, while Landvetter has about 100 employers and 3,500 employees. The airports are therefore major employers in their respective regions and Arlanda is one of the largest workplaces in Sweden.
