The Royal Aeronautical Society has welcomed the publication of the UK government’s 10-point plan, which will work towards a more diverse, innovative, and sustainable aviation future.
The Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) has welcomed the publication of the UK government’s 10-point plan for aviation, ‘Flightpath To The Future.’
The government’s focus on achieving Jet Zero by 2050, capturing the potential of new technology, and enhancing skills and diversity across the sector are especially important.
Aviation and aerospace will super-charge the recovery from COVID-19 around the world, and ensure the UK is globally connected. The government’s vision to support the work the sector is doing on that, and on its sustainability work, is extremely important.
The government and the sector must together focus relentlessly on encouraging young people to consider careers in aviation and aerospace, and ensure we tackle the skills gap that we face as we transition to a more sustainable sector.
