Finavia has extended its contract with the leading foreign exchange provider ChangeGroup…
Finavia has extended its contract with the leading foreign exchange provider ChangeGroup. This will extend ChangeGroup’s presence at Helsinki Airport and will see the launch of the first foreign currency ATMs at Helsinki Airport. The self-service machines will contribute towards Finavia’s ongoing service renewal and commitment to an enjoyable passenger experience.
After a competitive tender process, Finavia has awarded the foreign exchange concession to the leading London based provider ChangeGroup. The new agreement commencing January 2015 will see ChangeGroup introduce a number of ATMs at landside and airside locations in the airport.
During 2015, the airport’s currency exchange services will be expanded and be made more diverse by means of self-service machines. In the future, as a result of the new foreign currency ATMs, passengers can exchange currency 24/7. In addition, the service range at the airport will increase with ChangeGroup cash withdrawal machines.
The foreign currency ATMs supplement the seven service outlets of ChangeGroup at Helsinki Airport. From now on, customers may select a self-service machine or a visit to the service outlet. In the next few years, some service outlets will get a fresh new look.
Flexible travels through self-service
Finavia wants to make travelling as easy and smooth as possible. Helsinki Airport is currently implementing a massive service reform with the goal of making the airport’s services more diverse and to meet customer needs better.
This is supported by the new currency exchange and cash machines. Machines provide passengers a new way of doing business, and flexibility: with machines, exchanging currency is possible even in the middle of the night. Being the leading transit airport of North Europe and an important hub in traffic between Europe and Asia, currency exchange is an important service unit for Helsinki Airport.
“We are very happy that we can serve Helsinki Airport’s increasingly international passengers according to our company’s basic values – Trustworthy, Convenient, Achieving, Caring and Innovative”, says ChangeGroup CEO Sacha Zackariya.
ChangeGroup has more than 100 offices in 12 countries and more than 20 years of experience in currency exchange in Finland. The company is particularly expanding its operations at leading airports in Europe and North America.
