In a bid to protect the surroundings of the Montréal-Trudeau International Airport, ADM has created a space that will ensure the wildlife of the area are safeguarded.

ADM Aéroports de Montréal has announced the creation of an ecological park located north of the YUL airport site in the Saint-Laurent borough. north of the airport.
Minister of Transport, the Honorable Marc Garneau, supports the change of vocation of this land to make it an ecological park; with an area of more two million square feet, the land will be preserved and laid out for the benefit of the entire community.
ADM President and CEO, Philippe Rainville, said: “As part of its environmental policy, ADM is committed to protecting environments with high ecological value on its sites. The preservation of this sector illustrates this commitment.”
ADM has conducted an ecological inventory of the site and will ensure its development. Note the presence of marshes and swamps on a good part of the site; a mature woodland and the presence of birds and mammals.
Rainville continued: “This is part of our commitment to provide the community with a place to connect with nature and proximity to the REM station at Technoparc will make it accessible to a greater number. In the coming weeks, a chore of cleaning will be organised with Earth Day and the landscaping plan will be completed by our experts.”
This land is adjacent to the airport site and, in accordance with the requirements of TP 1247E “Land Use in the vicinity of Aerodromes”, ADM will continue the constant management of wildlife and control of the bird hazard.
