Details on Star Wars Day celebrations at Warsaw Chopin Airport

Star Wars Day, celebrated globally on 4 May, plays on the phrase “May the Force be with you”. On this day, fans worldwide organise themed events and activities to honour the iconic saga.

The airport’s campaign has been organised in partnership with Disney, LEGO and Dressler Publishing. Together, they have created an event that promises to be unlike anything seen in the aviation world. Special zones have been set up in the departure hall of Terminal AB, showcasing iconic vehicles and characters from the Star Wars universe, offering travellers a chance to capture a cosmic memory.

After the security control zone at Gate 1, young passengers can enjoy a unique LEGO zone, where they can creatively build their own models of spaceships.

The highlight of the festivities will take place on 4 May – International Star Wars Day. On that day, passengers and visitors will be treated to a spectacular range of activities, including the construction of a two-metre-tall Darth Vader figure made entirely of LEGO bricks, located in the general access area.

Warsaw Chopin Airport has always focused on exceptional traveller experiences. This time, we are going to a higher level and doing something absolutely unique on a global scale – on May 4th, on the occasion of Star Wars Day, we are turning our airport into an Intergalactic Space Port! We want our passengers to feel like they are part of this iconic saga and experience something truly incredible. It will be a spectacular celebration that they will remember for a long time,” said Adam Sanocki, Member of the PPL Management Board for Strategy and Marketing.

Visitors are encouraged to share their experiences and photos on social media.
