Since its launch on November 1, 2023, over 10,300 people have used Philadelphia International Airport’s (PHL) popular free amenity, the Wingmate Guest Pass. This initiative allows non-ticketed guests to spend more time with loved ones before take-off, surprise friends and family at arrival gates, or enjoy PHL’s amenities without needing a flight ticket.
“The feedback we have received from Wingmate users has been phenomenal,” said Megan O’Connell, PHL Director of Marketing and Branding. “Guests have been able to meet up with friends they haven’t seen in years or take an older relative to their gate and see them off—things they weren’t able to do before PHL offered this amenity.”
Details of the Wingmate Guest Pass
The Wingmate Guest Pass has become easier to use. Digital passes are now accepted at all TSA non-Pre-Check security checkpoints in Terminals A-West, A-East, B, D/E, and F, expanded from just A-East and D/E.
“We thank the TSA for their partnership with the Wingmate program,” O’Connell said. “Their collaboration has helped make memorable Wingmate moments possible.” The pass also provides exclusive deals at select PHL Food & Shops concessions. “You don’t need to have a person travelling to use a Wingmate Pass,” added O’Connell, highlighting new restaurant openings like Oyster House and Federal Donuts.
Nonticketed guests wishing to visit PHL must complete an online application 1-7 days prior to their visit. After 12 a.m. on the day of their visit, they will receive an email confirming their application status. If approved, a digital Wingmate Pass will be issued, valid for entry at all security checkpoints, except Terminal C, between 4 a.m. and 10 p.m. daily.
