Toronto Pearson International Airport has announced that it has partnered with Visit Mississauga to introduce a unique “Eras”-inspired interactive display for fans arriving for Taylor Swift’s sold-out concerts. Swift’s Eras Tour has brought an influx of fans to the region, sparking a collaboration aimed at welcoming concertgoers with an immersive experience right at the airport.
Located in the International Arrivals area of Terminal 1, the new installation features a motion-activated digital wall with visuals inspired by Swift’s albums, including Fearless, Folklore, Evermore, Lover and Midnights. Fans can take photos, record videos and share their experiences online using the #YYZEra hashtag, creating memories that extend beyond the concert venue. The display’s movement-responsive effects, designed to mimic elements from each album, are crafted to give fans a taste of the Eras Tour atmosphere as soon as they arrive.
Deborah Flint, President and CEO of Toronto Pearson, said: “Toronto Pearson embraces this as a culturally significant moment for Toronto, Mississauga and Canada. People will be travelling to the city from across the country and the world to attend Taylor Swift’s concerts. We are thrilled to be teaming up with Visit Mississauga for this special event. This activation is a unique way for fans to begin their musical journey as soon as they step off the plane.”
Victoria Clarke, CEO of Visit Mississauga, said: “We hope fans have an unforgettable experience while in town and we invite everyone visiting, staying or simply passing through Mississauga to soak up the music and excitement our vibrant city has to offer.”
Toronto Pearson‘s Welcome Team will also add a personal touch, distributing branded friendship bracelets to fans passing through the airport, a nod to a Swift fan tradition. The installation will be available to visitors through 12 December 2024, providing travellers ample time to enjoy the interactive space before or after Swift’s concert dates.
