Harnessing the power of data in Uruguay

Catching the wave

MVD is among the more than 110 airports that use accurate, real-time data from Xovis to keep passengers informed and position staff and other resources to prevent disruptive queues. The Uruguay airport has steadily expanded the Xovis system to cover additional terminal touchpoints, an enlarged scope that piqued its interest in optimising management of the rich data powering the PFMS.

The move to AERO means MVD can resolve future resource challenges more quickly. It also provides the airport with the market’s most advanced queue detection algorithm, immediately improving passenger tracking at Immigration, Emigration, and Security Checkpoint areas.

Designed using advanced machine learning techniques, AERO Queue Detection offers operators effortless precision in identifying and measuring the most complex queues. It is the only system on the market that can accurately track passenger behaviour in the most complex airport queuing environments – from highly structured to completely unstructured areas.
