Organisers are excited to announce the return of the Alberta International Airshow, 05-06 August at Villeneuve Airport. Tickets are on sale now for the event.
This year’s Airshow will feature the best lineup in the show’s history. Thrill to the jaw-dropping performances of the renowned Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds, the CF-18 Demonstration Team, the USAF A-10 Demonstration Team, the Canadian Forces Skyhawks Parachute Team, the Vampire Airshows de Havilland DH-115 (the World’s Oldest Flying Jet Fighter), Undaunted Airshows, and the Yellow Thunder Formation Aerobatic Team. In addition to the action in the air there will be lots to see and experience on the ground for families and those interested in a career in aviation and related industries.
Organisers deeply appreciate the leadership of the City of Edmonton, Sturgeon County, and the tremendous support of the Edmonton International Airport.
“Edmonton is a natural logistics, engineering and manufacturing hub with significant aviation history. We are proud to be a major partner in the airshow, and showcase our incredible region to the world,” said Mayor Amarjeet Sohi. “The airshow demonstrates how regional collaboration in economic development can attract the international awareness and investments we need to build a prosperous future.”
“The future takes flight in Sturgeon County, which is why we are proud to be a partner of the Alberta International Airshow at the Villeneuve Airport, a premier destination for innovation and investment,” said Sturgeon County Mayor Alanna Hnatiw. “This event is an opportunity to celebrate aviation and its immense potential in our region — potential we are committed to fostering at the Villeneuve Airport.”
“The Alberta International Airshow has been a staple in the Edmonton Metro Region for many years,” said Myron Keehn, President & CEO of Edmonton International Airport and Villeneuve Airport. “The event attracts impressive aviation professionals showcasing breath taking aeronautical acts, and highlights career opportunities in the aviation sector. We are proud to be the host airport for this world-class event, and we look forward to a great show!”
“We’re incredibly excited about this year’s aerobatic performances,” said Richard Skermer, executive producer of the Alberta International Airshow. “We’re proud that the Airshow is an event that gives people a lot of value. It’s an affordable, fun, family-friendly spectacle, where folks can make some great memories and leave with a giant grin!”
