AAAE President and CEO Todd Hauptli today announced the Association’s new Executive Management Team…
American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) President and CEO Todd Hauptli today announced the Association’s new Executive Management Team. They are:
Spencer Dickerson, Senior Executive Vice President, Global Operations and Secretary to the Board of Directors
Dickerson, a 33-year veteran of AAAE, will lead the Association’s efforts with international meetings and training, along with a series of key additional assignments. Dickerson will continue leadership of the US Contract Tower Association and the International Association of Airport Executive programs as well. Of Dickerson’s appointment, Hauptli said, “No one has worked harder, longer or more effectively over a career measured in decades to build AAAE than Spencer Dickerson. His focus on international growth opportunities, as well as his continued great work across the organization will be a tremendous benefit to AAAE for years to come.”
Joel Bacon, Executive Vice President, Government and Public Affairs
Bacon, a 14-year veteran of AAAE, will lead the Association’s advocacy and public affairs operations, with oversight of legislative and regulatory affairs, transportation security policy, communications, press, public relations and Airport Magazine. Of Bacon’s appointment, Hauptli noted, “Joel is extraordinarily talented-a shrewd strategist, a gifted communicator and a wise counselor. He is an impact player on the Washington stage, and AAAE is fortunate indeed to have him on our team.”
Carter Morris, Executive Vice President, AAAE Services
Morris, an 18-year veteran of AAAE, will oversee AAAE’s Transportation Security Clearinghouse, as well as AAAE’s Training and Technology Services, Information Services, and Finance Departments. Of the Morris appointment, Hauptli stated, “Carter Morris has served in a series of progressively senior roles in AAAE over his tenure of nearly two decades. He combines the vision and business savvy of an entrepreneur and the keen mind of a policy analyst. AAAE remains lucky he chooses to expend his considerable talents on behalf of the membership.”
Jacky Sher Raker, Executive Vice President, Meetings, Membership, Marketing and Administration
Raker, a 12-year veteran of AAAE, will lead the Association’s domestic meetings operations as well as the organization’s membership and marketing efforts. She will also oversee other important Administration functions at AAAE. Of the Raker appointment, Hauptli commented, “Jacky is a multi-talented executive with drive, stamina and an unmatched devotion to the members of AAAE. I take great pleasure in noting that with her appointment, she becomes the highest-ranking woman in the 85 year history of the AAAE staff.”
Hauptli added, “Over the years, AAAE has benefitted from long-tenured senior leadership. As the association begins a new chapter in our history, that tradition continues with the appointment of the senior management team. The five of us have a combined century of service at AAAE, and we are focused on delivering service, innovation and results for the membership.”
