While the first webinar confirmed the validity of and the need for the concepts of NEXTT in these difficult times for the air travel industry, this second webinar looked further at how the industry is moving from concepts to implementation of ideas and taking advantage of the new imperatives for healthy travel to accelerate innovations and process changes.
The NEXTT team opened the floor to their panelists to demonstrate how innovative concepts and new opportunities arise in remote and off-airport activities, touchless processing, design flexibility, sustainability and common data exchange solutions.
Key Learning Points
- Address the challenges airports and their key partners might overcome in the shorter-term (funding, commercial viability of projects, path to innovation) but also concepts that could be accelerated for a brighter future.
- Understand how the industry is changing considering the COVID-19 pandemic and know where the industry challenges and opportunities to “build back better” are.
