Posted: 12 June 2013 | Nathan De Valck, Cargo Account Manager, Brussels Airport Company
The challenges with organising cargo screening are just one area I will be discussing at Airport Security 2013. For the last two years Brussels Airport has been implementing a new cargo strategy in order to cement a leading position as an international gateway for air freight. A cornerstone in this strategy is attracting new freight forwarders and facilitat – ing the business of existing ones at BRUcargo. In order for an airport to offer a full range of cargo services, it needs a strong presence of international forwarders (bringing in the air freight) and a wide range of connections served (transport capacity of air freight).
