The aviation industry is essential to the growth of the economy, and we have a duty to protect both passengers and the public from potential security threats. Security is not one size fits all – there is a need for regulation, flexibility, trust, partnership and creativity. A combination of different measures that draw upon best practice from across the industry is what is required.
